In recognition of April being Parkinson’s Awareness Month the Benicia Parkinson’s Awareness Rally will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Veterans Hall at 1150 First Street.

The Rally is open to the public from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. bringing together different companies and service organizations to provide our local Parkinson’s communities with solutions and resources to help with their journey.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Suketu M. Khandhar, Chief Movement Specialist for Northern California Kaiser. Other presenters will be Dr. Eric Egli, PhD, Psychologist; Erin Mella, Dietician, UC Davis; Robert Cochrane, PhD, Improvision and Storytelling and Caitlin Segelke, representing Kaiser Physical Therapy.

The Rally Program will be held in the Benicia Veteran’s Hall. Check-in/registration begins at 9:00 AM. The Program begins at 9:30 AM, and ends at 1 PM. The $10 participation fee will be used to increase awareness of Parkinson’s Disease, support local and Northern California programs for people with Parkinson’s and their Care Partners, and provide educational materials, seminars and events. Increase your support to $35, and you will receive a beautiful Rally T-shirt. Registration accepted at door but T-shirt size very limited. Because seating is limited, we suggest you register online at before March 22, 2025.

Check-in for Walk and Rally will open at 8:00 AM.

The Bill Cawley Memorial Walk, held together with our annual fundraiser, the Awareness Rally, is in honor of one the founding members of the Benicia Parkinson’s Support Group.

Check-in for walk participants starts at 8:00 A.M. The walk will be around the perimeter of City Park at Military and First Street.

There are 2 separate walk sessions each with prizes for the top 3 with the most trips around the park in the time allotted.

The first session is for those thirty and younger.
This 20-minute session starts at 8:15 A.M. until 8:35 A.M.

The second session is for those over thirty.
This session starts at 8:40 A.M. until 9 A.M.


Your $35 participation fee will include a t-shirt.
